ASDAN
Education & Membership
From firefighting and complexity to stable foundations and future-readiness.
Growing complexity was consuming strategic attention
ASDAN's digital environment had developed across multiple platforms, systems and processes that were not always working together. Issues could escalate widely, teams were repeatedly pulled into firefighting and leadership needed greater clarity around the organisation's wider digital architecture. With courses moving from books to fully digital delivery, operations spanning 42 countries and significant responsibilities around learner data, ASDAN needed stronger foundations before it could confidently pursue its next stage of growth.
Stabilise the environment and build confidence from within
Assured Digital worked alongside ASDAN's teams to understand the wider estate, identify root causes and test solutions before changes were introduced. The partnership strengthened Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, policies and operational resilience, while helping ASDAN create a clearer blueprint around its priority data. Assured Digital's specialists also worked directly with colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping teams solve problems rather than simply raising tickets and waiting for a fix.
Visible progress within three to four months
Within the initial three-to-four-month project, ASDAN began seeing stronger processes, calmer decision-making and better communication. Support tickets reduced, issues were less likely to escalate and colleagues became more confident in understanding and resolving problems. ASDAN described communication across its teams as one of its new "superpowers" and said it now felt stable across its digital platform. Stronger cyber and data foundations also gave leadership and trustees greater confidence to expand its qualification offer, support international growth and explore the secure use of AI.
“We can now think about the future, rather than how to get to Friday.”
